Accessibility
We build this platform so that people can use it whatever their sight, hearing, movement or way of working. This page says plainly where we stand — what we have done, what we know is not finished, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
The standard we work to
We aim at WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the standard most public bodies in the Gulf and beyond refer to in procurement. We work to it on both the Arabic and English sides of the platform, because a standard applied to one language only is not applied at all.
Where we stand today
Every screen names itself. Every form field has a label bound to it. One focus indicator, at 6.95:1, follows the keyboard everywhere. Every overlay announces itself as a dialog, keeps the keyboard inside it, and hands focus back when it closes. Text and controls meet the contrast the standard asks for. Tables say which column is which. The site works down to a 320-pixel screen.
What is not finished
We have not yet completed testing with a screen reader, at 200% zoom, or with a keyboard alone across every screen; nor has an independent specialist reviewed the platform. Until both are done we make no formal conformance claim. When they are, this page will carry the report and its date.
Two things we already know: text written in one language inside a page of the other is not yet marked as such, which can make a screen reader read it with the wrong voice; and one report table lists module scores without column headers.
Tell us when something gets in the way
If any part of this platform is hard to use, write to us at hello@tahseen.om or through the contact form, and say which screen and what happened. We read every message, and an accessibility problem goes to the front of the queue.
